Senior Teachers of High Schools from India
Sunday, 23 May – Saturday, 29 May, 2010
Beijing – Shenyang – Shanghai

Proposal

India China Alliance Centre (ICAC) is an organization, which focuses on promoting Sino-Indian bilateral trade, investment and cultural co-operation. It has strong linkages with Mainland China across provinces on the economic, business, trade and cultural front. The India China Alliance Centre was officially launched on 30th October, 2003 in New Delhi in the presence of Mr. A.K Thakur, the then Joint Secretary (East Asia), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and Mr. Hao Kang Li, Vice Mayor, Chengdu Municipal People’s Government, Sichuan Province, The People’s Republic of China.

China’s economic success over the last two and a half decades has attracted World’s attention and has been the subject of many an article in the International Media. Reactions to China’s performance have varied from astonishment to disbelief. In India, some view China as a manufacturing giant that would soon conquer India’s domestic market. Others are dismissive of China’s success saying that it is based on investment and marginal pricing, not sustainable factors in the long term. The fact, however, remains that China is the fastest growing economy in the World The fact also remains that India is the second fastest growing economy in the World. This is despite the current global recessionary trends.

Encouraged by the phenomenal success of the 1st Education Tour to China from October 22-26, 2004 under the leadership of Mrs. Rajni Kumar, a leading Educationist and Chairperson of the Springdales Education Society, our Centre has decided to reintroduce this Mission even though our primary focus in the recent years has been in areas such as Higher / Technical Education, Agriculture and Food Processing as also IT and ITeS.

The primary objective of the Educational Tour would be to explore possibilities of a Student Exchange Programme; Faculty Exchange Programme and Joint Programmes. The week-long programme will be full of fun and frolic with ample opportunities for sightseeing and shopping. For those, who have not traveled to China before, it would be a mind boggling experience and an excellent opportunity to see what makes the Chinese tick, draw parallels with our own style of functioning, freeze special moments in our memory banks and return enriched with learnings.

Please see the attached press clipping which had appeared in the Hindustan Times on 27th October, 2004 to get a feel of the earlier Mission.

We have evolved a very economical package of Rs. 1, 45, 000/- only per participant (Twin Sharing Basis). The package offer would be Rs. 1, 60,000 only per participant (Single Room Occupancy) The components of this package offer are as under:
