India China Alliance Centre (ICAC) is an organization, which focuses on promoting Sino-Indian bilateral trade, investment and cultural co-operation. It has strong linkages with Mainland China across provinces on the economic, business, trade and cultural front. The India China Alliance Centre was officially launched on 30th October, 2003 in New Delhi in the presence of Mr. A.K Thakur, the then Joint Secretary (East Asia), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and Mr. Hao Kang Li, Vice Mayor, Chengdu Municipal People’s Government, Sichuan Province, The People’s Republic of China.
China’s economic success over the last two and a half decades has attracted World’s attention and has been the subject of many an article in the International Media. Reactions to China’s performance have varied from astonishment to disbelief. In India, some view China as a manufacturing giant that would soon conquer India’s domestic market. Others are dismissive of China’s success saying that it is based on investment and marginal pricing, not sustainable factors in the long term. The fact, however, remains that China is the fastest growing economy in the World. The fact also remains that India is the second fastest growing economy in the World.
