Proposal
India China Alliance Centre (ICAC) is an organisation which focuses on promoting Sino-Indian bilateral trade, investment and cultural co-operation. It has strong linkages with Mainland China across provinces on the economic, business, trade and cultural front. The India China Alliance Centre was officially launched on 30th October, 2003 in New Delhi in the presence of Mr. A.K Thakur, the then Joint Secretary (East Asia), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and Mr. Hao Kang Li, Vice Mayor, Chengdu Municipal People’s Government, Sichuan Province, The People’s Republic of China.
China’s economic success over the last two and a half decades has attracted World’s attention and has been the subject of many an article in the International Media. Reactions to China’s performance have varied from astonishment to disbelief. In India, some view China as a manufacturing giant that would soon conquer India’s domestic market. Others are dismissive of China’s success saying that it is based on investment and marginal pricing, not sustainable factors in the long term. The fact, however, remains that China is the fastest growing economy in the World
Against this backdrop and encouraged by the overwhelming response to our earlier Missions, India China Alliance Centre is pleased to announce the 7th Mission to China for Universities, Indian Business Schools and Institutes of Engineering and Technology from India (Sunday 14 – Saturday 20 June, 2009)
The week long programme would cover four cities (Beijing, Shenyang, Shanghai and Hangzhou) and shall offer an excellent opportunity to see what makes the Chinese tick, draw parallels with our own style of functioning and return enriched with learning’s.
The primary objectives would be:
- To familiarise with the current scenario in China specially in terms of higher / technical education.
- To explore collaborative arrangements covering student and faculty exchange, joint research and joint programmes.
Business Opportunities
The programme would also offer a unique platform to attract Chinese students to India as also explore opportunities to set up Educational Institutions in China as a Joint Venture proposition with Chinese Universities.
The mission is essentially designed for Vice-Chancellors, Chairmen, Directors, Principals, Deans, Professors and Senior Faculty Members of Universities, Business Schools and Institutes of Engineering & Technology. Ministers, Secretaries and Directors of Departments of Higher / Technical Education at the State Level would also form an important constituent of the target group.
We have evolved an attractive package of Rs.1, 45,000/- per person only for the four city tour which shall include:
- International Air Travel/Domestic Air Travel within China (Delhi-Beijing-Shenyang-Shanghai-Delhi)*
