Mr Piyush Bahl holds a Masters degree in History from St. Stephens College, Delhi University and did his schooling from St. Xavier’s Collegiate School, Kolkata.

He worked with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for nearly twenty years before setting up the India China Alliance Centre. His stint in CII included holding positions such as Executive Officer and Head of CII Karnataka Office; Deputy Director, CII Western Region (Mumbai); Regional Director/ Senior Director, CII Northern Region (Chandigarh) and Senior Director & Head – International and Trade Fairs Division (New Delhi). Through his dynamic leadership and farsightedness, he built up a strong presence for the Confederation in the nine northern states that were under his charge from 1992-2001. Building Industry-Government linkages, identifying new areas for revenue generation, institutionalising mega events – national and international- he created both intellectual and financial wealth for CII.

His last assignment with the Organisation was as Senior Director & Head, East Asia. Based out of Shanghai, he was responsible for the territorial region covering Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.

India China Alliance Centre (ICAC) has, in the last seven years of its existence, established strong linkages with China across Provinces and is committed to promoting Sino Indian bilateral trade, investment and cultural cooperation. Mr. Bahl has traveled extensively within China and across the World and has established excellent relationships with the Chinese Central, Provincial and City Governments as also top of the line Chinese Universities, International Business Schools and other Chinese Institutions of World repute. ICAC enjoys a very special working relationship with the Shenyang Municipal People's Government, Shenyang Information Industry Bureau, Shenyang Education Bureau, Liaoning Province and with the Weifang Municipal People's Government, Weifang Science and Technology Bureau, Organising Committee of the China (Shouguang) International Vegetable Sci-tech Fair (Annual Event), Department of Science and Technology, Shandong Province, The People's Republic of China. ICAC is also in the process of entering into formal MoUs with the China Sub-Councils for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPITs) across Provinces. Recently, ICAC has established linkages with the Shanghai Overseas Talent Search Centre of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and China National Tourist Office in New Delhi
